Action and Life Corporation is a nonprofit organization, legally constituted under Ministerial Agreement No. 700, Ministry of Social Welfare, in Quito, Ecuador, in 2006. We have a long track record in designing, planning, implementing and evaluating social projects that help improve the quality of life of the community. Our organization comprises people of different academic and professional training, who transmit their knowledge to youth, adults, seniors and their families nationwide in different fields of social interest such as humanistic training, community development, productive projects, ecology, recreation, school counselling and any other activity in defense and promotion of life.

MISSION:
We are a civic organization of all social and age levels, which contributes to human development by promoting equal opportunities.

VISION:
In the short term we intend to be a sustainable corporation for assistance and cooperation, scientifically and technologically updated, dedicated to training youth and adults, actively engaged with the country’s progress.

OBJECTIVE:
To promote participation, organization, citizenship within a culture of peace and equality in diversity, serving the neediest population groups.

PROJECTS

Soccer School and School Support «San José de la Libertad.» Merges education and sport through school counselling for children in the La Colmena neighborhood. At the moment the children meet in spaces lent by the neighbors. We are managing the provision of municipal land for the building of classrooms, a sports field and a service area. But the building must be paid by us.

Tourism and Spanish School «Half of the World.» Promotes community tourism, welcoming tourists into friends-family homes. This is a direct experience with the Ecuadorian culture, supplemented with learning the daily Spanish language. Classes are taught permanently and our headquarters are located at latitude 0 degrees, 0 minutes, 0 seconds of the Equator. We also provide counselling and placement for internships in development projects and consultancy for exchange studies at universities in Ecuador.

Computer literacy: We teach basic computer skills to people with zero computer knowledge and practice, focusing especially on adults and seniors.

Our work contributes to reducing the lacerating inequality in income distribution of the country, seeking better living conditions for poor communities, slums and people at risk.
